Stem Cell Treatment for Heart Disease

At Renovation Advanced Therapy Center procedures are performed using some of the most scientifically advanced facilities in the world.

Most Heart Failure patients can be helped with Stem Cell from adipose tissue, Stem Cells from Umbilical Cord and mainly with cardiomyocytes. A Cardiomyocyte is a muscle cell of the heart, a deficiency of cardiomyocytes underlies most cases of heart failure.

Typically this is an outpatient procedure, however, patients may stay for 2 or 3  nights in our facilities.

About Heart Disease

Heart disease or cardiopathy is an umbrella term for a variety of different diseases affecting the heart.

Coronary heart disease refers to the failure of the coronary circulation to supply adequate circulation to cardiac muscle and surrounding tissue. Is a disease of the artery caused by the accumulation of atheromatous plaques within the walls of the arteries that supply the myocardium. Angina pectoris (chest pain) and myocardial infarction (heart attack) are symptoms of and conditions caused by coronary heart disease.

Stem cell therapy is focused on affecting physical changes in the heart that can improve a patient’s quality of life. Most Heart Failure patients are treated by IV,  injecting the stem cells into the blood which transports them up the heart. Another procedure, by which the stem cells are surgically implanted directly into the heart, with angiography is also available.

Stem cells are a special type of cell that has not yet dedicated itself toward a particular type of tissue. Most cells in the body are specific and local to a certain body part. For example, skin cells always make new skin cells, and brain cells always make brain cells. Stem cells are not limited in this way. Instead, these new cells will take on the form of the tissue that surrounds them.

Because of this property, stem cells can be effectively used to aid in the repair and regeneration of damaged tissues. This is at the heart of stem cell therapy and is why these treatments can be so effective for patients suffering from Heart Disease by giving worn-down tissue the proper tools to repair itself, the body can regenerate naturally.

Stem cell therapy has been shown to have beneficial effects in patients whose tissues or organs have weakened or shown signs of fatigue. The weakness and degeneration of these systems can be counteracted or reversed through this treatment. In effect,  stem cells invigorate the other tissue and boost the body’s organic functions.

How Stem Cell Therapy Works

Stem cells are harvested from the patient’s own adipose tissue, Umbilical Cord and pre-differentiated Cardiomyocytes, which includes fresh cells, proteins, growth factors and other tools necessary to rebuild damaged organ or tissue. Although these substances exist naturally in an individual’s bone marrow/adipose tissue they are usually not released into a person’s bloodstream in sufficient quantities to repair damage throughout the body. By liberating the stem cells and relocating them to an affected area, stem cell treatment solves this problem.
